San Francisco Giants’ Pablo Sandoval’s helmet goes flying as he’s tagged out by Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos in the sixth inning of a Major League Baseball game at AT&T Park in San Francisco, Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Sandoval tried to score from second base on Brandon Crawford’s single to right field. (D. Ross Cameron)
Post-Game Note: Pablo Sandoval was coughing up a storm on his way out of the clubhouse and could barely walk, and yet he had three hits and reached base a fourth time on a walk. He also had a hard slide at the plate, but I’m guessing he’ll come in tomorrow and say he wants to play.
